Acer will upgrade four Iconia tablets to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean

Acer announced that they are upgrading some of their Iconia Tab tablets to the new Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system.

The number of tablets that Acer plans to feature with the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean is 4. The decision to let people know which gadgets are going to sport the latest Android OS came after the company’s wish to let everyone know more on their devices. This decision already took effect a short while back, when Acer upgraded this tablet to Google’s Android Jelly Bean version: Iconia Tab A700.

The tablets that will next see an update to the new operating system are the following: Iconia Tab A510, Iconia Tab A210 and Iconia Tab A110. This info was first published by people over at ComputerWorld.

The upgrade to a better operating system also means that the tablets mentioned above won’t experience problems with different bugs and other malware.Acer-Iconia-Tab-A700

The addition of the Jelly Bean as those 4 tablets’ main operating system is something they should have long ago sported. Because, according to many gadget users, this type of OS comes with plenty of novelties. That will be of much enjoyment. The problem with the older version, the 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, was that it did not have many options for the cam and the user interface was not that smooth. Moreover, the addition of Google Now, the much better browser and calendar on the Jelly Bean will be very welcome, reports have it.

But, while 4 Acer Iconia Tab gadgets will work with a better OS, a couple of the company’s other creations are not going to share the same upgrade. Here are the names of those unlucky products: Iconia Tab A500, Iconia Tab A200 and Iconia Tab A100. If you want to have the update on one of these tablets, you can still achieve that. The best way is to flash or root them with the help of the usual custom ROM that is more than reliable; except a couple of bugs you can collect after the installation process is over.

The upgrade to the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean for 4 of Acer’s tablets does not have an official date yet. The company themselves gave us a hint: the happy event is going to happen in the near future. So,until then, we can only guess and wait to see if our guesses are correct. But at least we were told it will happen.
