HTC upgrades One X with faster processor and more internal storage

HTC throws more storage space and a faster CPU on their One X smartphone.

And about time, since many users of this device complained about those specs not being better. The name of the new smartphone is One X+.

The dimensions of the smartphone’s body are these: 134.36 mm x 69.9 mm x 8.9 mm. The weight is 135 grams.

Now on to the device’s, which are more compelling than what the original One X had to offer. Here they are: a 4.7″ Super LCD 2 touchscreen, 1GB RAM in terms of memory, a 1.7 GHz quad-core NVIDIA Tegra 3 processor, the Android 4.1 operating system (including an UI called HTC Sense 4+), a 2100 mAh battery, an 8MP cam (complete with an F2.0 aperture and an ImageSense CPU) and 64GB of internal storage.HTC-One-X

From what people who got the chance to test the One X+, its user interface is pretty nice. It offers new tweaks, a new video hub, better speeds when navigating it and so on.The display is covered in a protective layer called Corning Gorilla Glass 2, the best in its class. According to the manufacturer, the processor is able to offer 50% of talk time, much better than other HTC smartphones.

Connectivity is possible via a couple of options, such as 802.11 a/b/g/n WiFi, DLNA, Bluetooth 4.0 (with aptX technology), HDMI out (that offers an MHL adapter) and, finally, NFC with support for Tap and Go.

Returning to the touchscreen: people who have tested it reported excellent quality. They even said that Samsung’s newest Galaxy S3 doesn’t share the same quality.

If you live in one of the following regions, the HTC One X+ is going to be yours for a good price. And here are those areas we talked about: South Asia, North Asia, Europe and North America. In South Asia, the smartphone will be available starting next month. For Europe and North Asia, the handset arrives this month. For North America we are yet to find out an official or approximate release date.

The One X+ that is going to be launched soon looks good. And sounds as if it will not disappoint once you start to use it on a daily basis. The company behind it has other new stuff prepared for us. Like a web service. The manufacturer described it as a tool to help you choose settings and enter a password faster. It is also a great way to easily personalize everything from your web browser.
