Install Android 4.0.4 ICS XXLQK Official Firmware for Galaxy Tab 7.7 P6800

Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 P6800 should be given a shot at an updated Android 4.0.4 with the tutorial we specifically wrote for today. To run our point across we will use XXLQK official firmware, which can be flashed on your tablet quickly and easily.

Requirements

You first have to see to it that your gadget is the bootloader and carrier unlocked model, USB debugging needs to be enabled on it, USB drivers for the tablet should be flashed on your notebook, you have to charge its battery and create not only a normal backup but also one of the internal memory data to an SD card meant for external use and use a Windows-running notebook (or just use CrossOver Utility should your comp run Mac or Linux instead).

Important instructions

  1. Step number one for this guide is as follows: download the and Odin tool 3.07 on your laptop, then unzip their content. Here are the files which you need to expect after this process: .tar.md5 and Odin3 v3.07.exe; there are other files, too, but these two will be important later on.
  2. Step 2: once the tablet is powered off, you need to enter it in Download Mode; this task should be completed like this: press and hold, at the same time, Volume Up and Power. Once done, the Odin tool .exe should be run as an Admin like this: use the right click method then, from context menu, select the Odin .exe file and choose the option labelled Run as administrator.Galaxy-Tab-7.7-P6800
  3. Step 3 to attend to will need you to plug the P6800 to your PC and then to make sure you choose some particular files by using certain keys. Here is the whole process in detail:
    – click on PDA and you should opt for the file which contains CODE in its name;
    – if you click on Phone, you will have to choose the file with MODEM in its name;
    – click on CSC and be sure to select the file with CSC in its name;
    – once you click on PIT, you will need to opt for the file with .pit in it.
  4. For step 4 you are asked to choose these options: F. Reset Time and Auto Reboot. Choose the Repartition one if you went for the .pit file. As soon as you tap on Start when you are done with the previous tasks, you need to wait for the flashing of the firmware update. The Tab 7.7 GT-P6800 is going to reboot soon.
  5. Unplug the tablet from the laptop after PASS is on the display. And with this last step, you are done. If you go to your gadget’s “About tablet” section, you are going to see for yourself that the Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich XXLQK is nestled comfortably there and ready to be used for the first time ever.
