How to Root Acer Liquid Gallant Duo

Once you decide you want to buy a shiny new smartphone or tablet, you will feel the need to bring new features to the table. So that the whole user experience is complete with some things that weren’t there in the first place.

The way to get that for your Acer Liquid Gallant Duo is by rooting it. If you read our post here you are going to receive a lot of help on how to perform this procedure.

Requirements

For all intents and purposes, your immediate first role is to read these following requirements and do what they instruct you to. Get a laptop which comes with Windows, charge the battery of the smartphone if it’s empty, perform a NANDroid backup using this procedure, and for the comp you use (they are to be found online).

Also, don’t mind the warranty of your handset disappearing; there are methods of retrieving it after the rooting ends. All that is left once you managed to tick all the pre-requisites off your list is to proceed to the rooting of your Liquid Gallant Duo.Acer-Liquid-Gallant-Duo-rooted

Important instructions

  1. The first step which works as introduction to our guide says the following: move the Root Pack zip file on your laptop’s desktop. Now you should extract the files contained by the downloaded .zip file to the same location as before. When you are done with the unzipping part, you need to activate the USB Debugging option. So you have to go to Menu, then Settings and tap on Applications; next: choose Development and click the USB Debugging option.
  2. [sc name=”banner-jos”]Step 2: plug, with the phone’s USB cord, the Gallant Duo to your comp. Double-click on Runme.bat (this is located directly on the laptop’s desktop).
  3. For step number 3 you are advised to choose the Normal mode when the Runme.bat shows you a couple of options. This operation will make you follow some instructions next; so that the rooting phase is put into motion.
  4. After the procedure begins, you need to wait until the handset reboots. Don’t worry, this won’t take an eternity. After everything is as it should, aka the rooting concluded in full glory, you can flash ClockmodWork Recovery or any other custom recovery. It’s not something crucial, do it only if you want to.

If you feel like doing it, though, then look for the tutorial we wrote on the CWM Recovery subject. It contains all the steps required to install this tool tool for your Acer Liquid Gallant Duo.
