Unlocked HTC One available for $599.99

When HTC One, the unlocked version, first appeared on the market, it had a price of $574.99. If you go now to the manufacturer’s official web store, the same device is available for a more expensive price tag: $599.99.

The company has not given any reason yet on why this sudden price change. Popular opinion seems to be that the reason for this could be the following: the unlocked HTC One is aimed at competing with the edition sporting Nexus. The latter has the cost of $599.99 and it will be launched this month on the 26th.

The HTC One Unlocked is pre-installed with many good specifications. What you get is a 4.7-inch touchscreen, a 1.7 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor, 32 GB of internal storage space (but this can be expanded till it’s 64 GB), Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, HTC Sense as its user interface, 2 GB of RAM and a 2,300 mAh battery. The camera of this model features UltraPixel. With it you will be able to shoot 3-second videos and snap a total of 20 pics with its special HTC Zoe feature.HTC-One

As for bands that are supported by the HTC One Unlocked, here is what you should expect: LTE 700/850/AWS/1900 MHz (for the U.S.), GSM/GPRS/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900 MHz and HSPA/WCDMA 850/1900/2100 MHz. The smartphone is SIM unlocked, so you won’t have to worry about this aspect.

The features that come with this device are user guides and one USB cable/wall charger. From what people who tested this model have said, the unlocked HTC One can work very well as a remote for your TV set. Another noteworthy feature is HTC BlinkFeed with which you can keep track daily of things that interest you.

The handset has the following measurements: 137.40 x 68.20 x 4.00 mm and it has a total weight of 143 g. These make it very comfortable to use and carry around. And you can grip it in a very easy manner. The phone’s body is made of full aluminum; and its design is called Zero Gap. To enjoy music and such, you will get to use stereo speakers that sport HTC BoomSound.

The Unlocked HTC One has become more expensive, yes, but it has some pretty neat specs as well as features and options. The Nexus Experience edition also shares the 32 GB storage space of its sibling and it is going to be available on T-Mobile and AT&T alike. If you prefer a smartphone with Vanilla Android, then you should choose the HTC One that’s unlocked.
