Galaxy Note 10.1 GT-N8010 (WiFi model) was acutely missing out on all the niceties that Android 4.1.2 OS is famous for. If you are not familiar with XXUCMG1 stock firmware which we will use today for all of you European owners of this tablet, allow us to give a small presentation.

This firmware plans on leaving you in awe with the whole range of features it packs. Each of them has its own role, but by and large the update will greatly enhance the way your gadget performs.

Requirements

The next couple of paragraphs will let you discover the pre-requisites and steps which will upgrade your device. Let’s start with the requirements first:

  • make backups using this method;
  • flash USB drivers (for this particular tablet) on your laptop;
  • charge your tablet’s battery;
  • turn on USB Debugging;
  • use only the carrier + factory unlocked Galaxy Note 10.1 N8010.

If you own the rooted version, the update is going to wipe that process away. Which means that you will have to root the gadget again.

Since we are done with the pre-requisites, you should peel your ears and hear all about the steps which shall transform your tablet into an updated one.Galaxy-Note-10.1-N8010

  3. Then take the Odin tool .exe from the Odin 3.07 archive; run it as Admin like this: right-click on odin.exe and tap “Run as Administrator” by looking for this option in Context Menu.
  4. After you’ve plugged the Note 10.1 GT-N8010 to your notebook, you have to first wait until you spot either a COM port number in yellow or “Added!!” on the display; this will tell you that the plugging turned out to be successful.
  5. You should flash the USB drivers again or use a different USB port in case the process did not turn out OK. Next: tap “PDA“, choose a .tar.md5 file, click on “Phone“, opt for a MODEM file, tap “CSC“, choose a CSC file, tap “PIT” and opt for a .pit file (if you’ve chosen this file, you will have to check “Re-partition” later on).
  6. Now check F. Reset Time and Auto Reboot, as well as the Re-partition option we previously mentioned. Tap “Start” to ensure that the installation of the update firmware can begin in the next couple of seconds.
  7. [sc name=”banner-jos”]Then, after the flashing stops, you will experience the rebooting of your gadget soon (you need to look, on the touchscreen, for a “Pass” message in a background whose color is green).
