XOLO X1000 specs revealed: Curved Display and 2 Ghz Intel CPU

Xolo have unveiled a new creation, more exactly a smartphone called X1000.

While everyone is eagerly anticipating for Samsung’s new Galaxy S4, Xolo have gone ahead and announced their very own phone dubbed X1000. Which they want to be perceived as the fastest one out there. Not all the specs that this phone boasts are that impressive, though, and one of them certainly doesn’t make the device the fastest one ever created.

See the specs for yourselves here: a 4.7″ touchscreen (both curved and made of glass), a total amount of 1280 x 720 pixels for its resolution coupled with 312 PPI, an 1900 mAh battery, a 2 GHz Intel Atom Z2480 CPU (which offers Hyper Threading), 8 GB of internal storage (can be expanded to 32 GB if you use a microSD card), 1 GB of RAM, Android 4.0 ICS, a PowerVR SGX540 graphics unit processor, dual-SIM support, one 1.3-megapixel cam on the front and an 8-megapixel snapper on the back. The latter sports LED flash capability.

The X1000 has a body that weighs 140g and its thickness is 9.1 mm. Internet connectivity means Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n and 3G HSPA+ 21 Mbps. There is also GPS / aGPS.xolo-x1000

So much for great speed, huh? Also, the operating system should have been the new Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean version. The phone can be upgraded to the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean version, though, but that’s not saying much considering rivaling companies.

However, we should give the Xolo X1000 a break; its 4.7″ display is quite something, to be honest. Not to forget the touchscreen’s made from a single piece of glass and its 2.5D curved display, able to reduce the light refraction. Especially since the manufacturer is not that famous to begin with. The way it sounds, the handset will surely be a strong contender in the mid-range category of smartphones.

But where can one buy this phone from and how much does it cost? The answer is the following: Rs 19,999 (about $385) if you access online retailers such as Flipkart. Is this high price worth it? You will be the judge of that.
