Micromax Canvas Viva A72 Phablet to be Launched soon

Latest news from Micromax say that the company will soon launch a device called Canvas Viva A72.

The Canvas Viva A72 manufactured by Indian company Micromax is a 3D phablet. The device was confirmed today and it joins the manufacturer’s once rumored 3D smartphone known as A115 Canvas 3D in leaks that appeared on the Internet not too far ago. The phablet is, according to company representatives, a product that addresses consumers who don’t have the money to afford more expensive and feature-packed smartphones.

While we wait for the official release of the device, which will happen in a couple of days’ time, here is what to look forward to in terms of specs: a 5-inch touchscreen, 480 x 800 pixels, a 1 GHz single-core CPU, 256 MB of RAM, two cameras (one on the back sporting 3 megapixels and one on the front with 0.3 megapixels), a 2,000 mAh battery unit, 512 MB of ROM (with 110 MB of usable internal storage), a storage capacity of 32 GB and Android v2.3.6 Gingerbread.

The Canvas Viva A72 phablet has a weight that sums 186 g. Its dimensions are as follows: 76 mm x 142.8 mm x 10.6 mm. Connectivity is covered by the following options: Bluetooth 3.0, Wi-Fi and one MicroUSB. The device will ship with dual-SIM (GSM + GSM). Unfortunately you won’t have the possibility to revel in 3G connectivity if you get this combination of smartphone and tablet.

And the fact that there’s the Android Gingerbread on-board will not please many. But the very cheap price – which the manufacturer wants to be about INR 5,000 – will more than make up for that.

Let the wait for the latest Micromax product, the Canvas Viva A72, begin! In the meantime, there’s also the A115 Canvas 3D to look forward to. This new smartphone is also going to come on the market not too far in the future.
