Asus unveils new tablets: MeMo Pad HD 7 and MeMo Pad FHD 10

There’s no greater thing than hearing news about your favorite manufacturer, in this case Asus, releasing new tablets.

The company recently announced that they have brand new gadgets to present the world. Their names: MeMo Pad HD 7 and MeMo Pad FHD 10. Naturally, neither of them addresses the same kind of consumers. For instance, the FHD 10 will, no doubt, be more appealing to people requesting a tablet which packs considerable power. The HD 7 has a smaller frame than the other model, thus being more appropriate for users who want something that’s easy to carry around throughout the day. And it’s cheaper than its sibling: $129 for the 8 GB variant and $149 for the 16 GB model. The FHD comes at a price that remains to be released.

We will first mention the specifications of the MeMo Pad FHD 10. This tablet sports a 10.1-inch touchscreen, 1,920 x 1,200 pixels, with a dual-core 1.6 GHz Clover Trail+ CPU and Android 4.2 Jelly Bean being the most important ones. Then you will also get to experience a 25 Wh battery and 16 GB or 32 GB. The tablet will feature GPS, Bluetooth 3.0 and Wi-Fi in the connectivity department. MeMo-Pad-HD-7

The battery that the manufacturer inserted inside the MeMo Pad FHD 10 is supposed to assure a total of 10 hours of life throughout a day. To be able to snap pics wherever you go, you can abuse the tablet’s cams (one on the back and one on the front).

The turn is now for the Asus MeMo Pad HD 7. This variant is going to be available with the following specifications in terms of display: 7 inches as shown by its name and 1,280 x 800 pixels. The operating system is Android 4.0 ICS instead of the Jelly Bean version. The gadget is going to have a quad-core ARM Cortex-A7 CPU. The amount of internal storage is 8 GB or 16 GB. The back of the gadget will have a 5MP camera; the front, though, will boast a 1.2 MP camera.

The colors that are available for each of these models will, of course, be different. So far, this fact and the specs above are the only details we have about the new Asus gadgets. And the price of the MeMo Pad FHD 10 model. What we don’t know yet is the price of the MeMo Pad HD 7 and the official release dates of both devices. The manufacturer behind these two tablets has already announced their FonePad Note gadget. The latter is meant to rival Samsung’s Galaxy Note.
