Sony Xperia Odin C650X Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean phone specs leaked

There’s another device whose specs have been revealed by Internet rumors. This time it’s all about the Sony Xperia Odin C650X.

Many people, after having heard about a handset called Odin, have asked themselves why Sony chose that name. Odin is a famous figure in Norse mythology. He is the god of war, victory, wisdom, magic and many other things. Thor is one of his offsprings. And, as you probably know by now, next year in November a new movie will appear in cinemas, called Thor: The Dark World. Who knows, maybe the Sony Xperia Odin C650X may very well have been named in relation to the future movie. Besides, the Japanese company has already signed a partnership with the popular franchise behind the James Bond movies. But then again, maybe this will all be a coincidence in the end.

Returning to the world of gadgets, the complete name of this device is Odin C6506. Or Odin C6502. Or Odin C6503. Pretty confusing. From what was spilled, the official date for its release is in 2013. Other than that, nothing is known about it. Except some rumored specifications.

Which look like this: a 1.5GHz single-core Snapdragon S4 Play CPU, an Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean with 10.1.A.0.XXX firmware OS and an Adreno 200 GPU. According to the same old rumors, the touchscreen may be of the HVGA variety. People over at XperiaBlog claim that the camera on this model will be a super one, hence the name of the handset. The number of pixels or size has not been unleashed, no matter how hard the rumors dug to find them.xperia-odin

Apart from the Xperia Odin C650X, Sony will also supposedly launch other two smartphones. One of them is labelled C150X and the other is known as C1604. Each of them packs different specs, features and all that jazz.

The Xperia C150X has all the makings of a device that is bound to belong in the cheap smartphones category. Not a lot of rumors were revealed about its specifications, because not much has been found about it. The only exception is the CPU, which seems to be a Snapdragon S4 Play chipset.

On the other hand, the company’s C1604 won’t make it on the entry-level department. It will land straight in the luxurious items category. From what is found on the Internet, this smartphone will most probably sport a resolution made of 480 x 320 pixels. Its operating system GPU seems to be the Android Ice Cream Sandwich version and the GPU will probably be the Adreno 200; the processor running inside it is rumored to be a single-core 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM7227A.
